Cody Sokol may not come from a huge school, but he had a great year with the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. Sokol did play for the University of Iowa, but decided to transfer after learning he would not be the Hawkeyes’ starter in 2014.

When most people think about Louisiana college football, Louisiana Tech probably doesn’t come to mind. Sokol led the team to a 9-5 record and a bowl appearance at that. The Bulldogs won the Heart of Dallas Bowl, which was their first bowl game victory since 2008.
Trey Iles of NOLA.com had a nice write up on Sokol during the 2014 season. He mentioned that Sokol has the ability to get the football out of his hands as quickly as possible.
"“I think Cody Sokol is much better than I thought he would be,” said Louisiana Tech head coach Skip Holtz, in his second year in Ruston. “I felt in talking to everyone that he was going to be a good quarterback. Watching him go through camp and seeing his understanding of football, the way he sees the field and his decision-making has impressed me. – Courtesy of Iles’ article"
It’s tough to imagine Sokol making it onto the final roster, but he could certainly be a practice squad option.
