The KC Chiefs opted to improve their defense in the first round but need to make a move on offense at some point in the 2015 NFL Draft and if Clemson wide receiver Sammie Coates is still available when they are on the clock with their first pick in the third round then they should seriously consider adding his services to the team.

Coates is a talented and shifty guy after the catch and always looks to make a move to pick up extra yards and is also dangerous getting over the top of a defense which makes him a hard player to game plan for and the exact kind of wide receiver Andy Reid covets.

"Tall, chiseled frame with cut muscle definition and longer arms than several of his offensive line teammates…above average straight-line speed with swift, decisive strides to stretch defenses…shifts gears well with a second gear to easily accelerate and get behind the secondary – his ability to be a vertical threat stays in the minds of cornerbacks. -Courtesy of Dane Brugler of CBS Sports"

Coates is the eleventh best wide receiver, and 66th best overall prospect in the 2015 NFL Draft according to CBS Sports. If the KC Chiefs are unable to select Dorial Green-Beckham in the second round I believe Coates in the third round would be a good back up plan.

Coates would be given the opportunity to compete with Jason Avant and Albert Wilson for the second wide receiver spot next to Jeremy Maclin.
