Sep 1, 2014; Louisville, KY, USA; Miami Hurricanes wide receiver Phillip Dorsett (4) runs the ball against the Louisville Cardinals during the second quarter of play at Papa John

While this mock draft only allowed me to draft seven times, the KC Chiefs will have 11 total picks at their disposal come draft weekend. This means that Dorsey has no excuse not to draft several wide receivers and I’m sure he agrees with me after no Chiefs wide receiver was able to haul in a touchdown pass last season.

Kansas City getting Phillip Dorsett in round four would be a huge steal.

Look no further than Phillip Dorsett out of Miami. Projected as a second or third rounder, Dorsett fell to the fourth round of this draft and would look great in a Chiefs uniform. Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com says that Dorsett is “probably the fastest player in the draft” (Source of link: Mike Huguenin of NFL.com). Now that’s what we like to hear from potential draft prospectives!

Also, Lance Zierlein says that Dorsett compares the most to John Brown of the Arizona Cardinals, who made all kinds of great plays last year. If the Chiefs could get their own version of Brown, that’d be terrific for Alex Smith. He needs some reliable receivers to throw to and Dorsett would be a good option.

"Takes the top off the defense and throws it in the trash. Elite explosiveness. Gets to top speed quickly and is a seamless glider on crossing routes, leaving man-to-man defenses in his wake. Can work outside and from the slot. Elevates and attacks contested catches. Outstanding body control and can adjust to the ball in mid-air. – Zierlein"
