Round 3, Pick 16
Two wide receivers in the first three rounds? Am I crazy? No, I don’t think so. The Kansas City Chiefs failed to complete a touchdown pass to a wide receiver during the 2014 season and that is just sad.
Adding Amari Cooper and Nelson Agholor out of USC would immediately make this offense dangerous. Alex Smith would be dancing for joy if he could get not just one, but two studly receivers to throw the ball to week after week.
"Athletic pass catcher with sharp cuts, before and after the catch, and the body control to make fluid adjustments on the ball. Generally catches the ball cleanly with his hands and secures it quickly. – Dane Brugler and Rob Rang of CBS Sports on Agholor’s strengths"
This isn’t the first time I’ve selected Agholor to be a member of the Chiefs, as I also projected the Chiefs to take him in the second round in my last mock draft. In other words, I’d like to see this kid in Kansas City next season and if he’s still available in round three, then hand that card in John Dorsey!
I’m already jumping up and down with excitement writing up this mock draft and it’s only been three rounds. What’s next?
