Kansas City Royals: World Series Predictions

facebooktwitterreddit

Alright folks here we are. Somehow waiting the last twenty-nine years since the last time the Kansas City Royals were in the World Series seemed easy compared to waiting the last six days.

More from Kansas City Royals

We’ve had almost a week to dissect the Royals 8-0 postseason run so far.

We’ve had five days to breakdown every possible match up against the Giants. All that’s left to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy what has already been one hell of a ride and hope it lasts.

Oh, well that and put our predictions in writing for gloating or crow-eating purposes later.

7. I’m picking fhe Royals in 7 games, because I think the staring pitching Match-ups in the first 2 games favor KC. S.F. struggles to hit the cutter and change, which are James Shields’ best 2 pitches. KC has killed Jake Peavy over his career. After that, KC’s momentum will be impossible to stop... Editor. John Viril. KANSAS CITY ROYALS

6. I think the Royals have the tools to sweep the Giants, but life just isn’t that great all the time, is it? The Giants have one of the best aces in baseball in Madison Bumgardner and I think he’ll be too tough for the Royals in game 1. The Royals will, however, get it done in 6 games in front of a crazy crowd in Kauffman Stadium.. Editor. Leigh Oleszczak. KANSAS CITY ROYALS

Josh Michaels. KANSAS CITY ROYALS. 6. Originally I wanted to be greedy and say the Royals sweep the crown but the Giants are too good for that. Instead, I’ll say the Royals in six because they have to face Bumgarner in Game One and likely again in that span if they’re facing elimination. The Royals starting rotation doesn’t pop out at you but it’s stronger than San Fran. Royals get it done on the heels on their entire pitching staff, great defense, speed and some late game heroics from their bats. Should be a great series!. Editor

6. The Royals will win in six, wrapping up the World Series in front of their home crowd because of solid starting pitching, a shut down bullpen, distracting speed, and glorious defense. The Royals are very good at the National League style of play, and will prevail in the end. I’m not much of a believer in destiny, by I can’t fathom that we would get this far only to fall to a team with two titles in the last four years. Just doesn’t seem right.. Senior Director, Sports. Joel Wagler. KANSAS CITY ROYALS

Staff Writer. Brandon Tobias:. KANSAS CITY ROYALS. 6. This may seem like a homer pick. While that’s partially true, it’s mostly not. The Royals are doing everything right this postseason which includes fielding and throwing. Sure they had a little luck along the way, but nothing like the Cardinals gift-wrapping the NLCS to SF. I’ll take the Royals outstanding defense, unhittable bullpen, and clutch hitting over the Giants counting on the other team to throw the ball away every time.

I was kinda hoping we’d have one person willing to say the Royals magical run had come to a close, but no body would bite on it. Well at least not at KC Kingdom. I’m sure you all have read as many pregame articles and opinions as we have and know that most people without a true allegiance are split down the middle. I’ll say this, though, if the Giants win the series it’ll be because the starting pitchers got the Royals into too big of a hole and the bats went too cold to dig them out. So basically if SF plays like the Tigers we’re screwed…. Not on this Staff. Apparently No One. SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS. n/a

Otherwise, we’re all liking an unlikely but unforgettable October for the Royals.

Now let’s play some damn ball already!
