Kansas City Chiefs: Areas to Improve on for Week 4

Run Defense
Why the Dolphins gave up running the ball is beyond me. Kansas City’s run defense did not look good out there on Sunday, allowing Miami to have an average of seven yards a carry, and allowing Lamar Miller to have several big runs.

I understand that two of Kansas City’s best guys on stopping the run are out for the year, but this is an area that needs work. With heavy running teams like the 49ers and the Seahawks coming up in the next few weeks, the Chiefs have to do a better job or those games could get ugly.
Hopefully, Eric Berry can return against the Patriots and help shore up the defense just a little.
It’s also worth noting (though this isn’t fully on the run defense) that the Chiefs’ defense STILL has yet to force a turnover. The D was dominant in creating turnovers last season so this is a strange situation for the Kansas City Chiefs.
