Kansas Jayhawks: Projecting The Starting Point Guard

There are certainly some question marks among this group of players. Mykhailiuk and Frankamp probably have the skill sets that make them more suitable as shooting guards than point guards, but they can probably play some minutes running the team.
A championship level team, though, needs a more traditional point guard. Graham and Mason fit this mold more so than the other two players.

The most intriguing position competition in the early part of the season just may be for the starting point guard spot.
Eventually, it will probably boil down to Mason and Graham. Regardless, the Kansas Jayhawks should have good, if unspectacular, depth at the point guard spot.
Look for Frank Mason to win the job early, but he may just be pushed by Devonte Graham and Conner Frankamp throughout the season. It will be very interesting to see how the minutes will divided up here.
If these players develop has hoped, maybe it will be a nice problem for Bill Self.
