SIT

MATT FORTE, RUNNING BACK, CHICAGO BEARS

Most of you will be starting Matt Forte this week no matter what I recommend because of all the teams on a bye. Options are thinner in week 9. I know Forte is almost a lock to start every week, but he may not get much of a chance to shine against the Green Bay Packers on Monday night. Green Bay has the 4th best defense against the run in the league, averaging 83.6 yards rushing a contest. Plus, with Jay Cutler out, the Bears offense may not be as potent.

There is a chance the Bears will have to play catch up in this game, and if that is the case, Forte’s carries will be reduced. The Packers only allow 3.7 yards per carry, so if you can find a reasonable replacement for Forte, you may want to think about benching him this week. Regardless, don’t expect Forte-like production.
