This Week: vs Tulsa
Next Week: Bye
Oklahoma is going to beat Tula, but the question about this team around now very pronounced.
Trevor Knight had his second straight underwhelming performance, this time against what was thought to be one of the worst defenses in the Big 12. Knight threw two picks that kept WVU in the game, and had just 119 yards in the air. Now throw into the mix that he is hurt and will be out 1 or 2 weeks with a knee injury, and now you have a legit quarterback problem in Norman.
Blake Bell will likely get the start this week, and he’ll take his career 26 passes with him. He is something of a folk-hero because of the 252-pound body and his propensity to run through defenders. Whether he is good enough to win games is unknown but we’re all about to find out.
If Bell proves to be no better than Knight then Oklahoma’s chances look bleak.
