Daniel Sams needs to start for this team.

It’s not that Jake Waters isn’t a good quarterback, in fact Waters is probably a better pro prospect than Sams. But the Snyder system and the current roster plays better when Sams is on the field. The offensive line looks far more aggressive and sure of themselves, John Hubert has more holes open for him, and defenses play more on their heels.

Also, Sams adds another dynamic layer to K-State when paired with Tramaine Thompson and Tyler Lockett. There are not a lot of teams in the Big 12 who can match up with that speed.

A balanced with Sams over Waters in an 80/20 split would be the best situation for the Wildcats.
