The Kansas City Chiefs have a young wide receiver facing serious trouble once again. Last year, it was Rashee Rice's street-racing incident that caused a multi-vehicle crash that resulted in his arrest. Now, another one of their promising playmakers has been arrested.
On Friday night, Xavier Worthy was arrested in Williamson County, Texas. According to the county's online records, Worthy is being charged with assault against a family or household member by impeding their breathing or circulation.

Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy Facing Serious Legal Trouble After Arrest
This is a very serious and troubling charge for the 21-year-old. As things stand now, we have very little information about the incident. We will learn more once criminal proceedings begin. The criminal and legal matter takes precedence here, but what this means for Worthy and the Chiefs remains to be seen.
Regardless of where the criminal case goes, Worthy will face a potential suspension under the Personal Conduct Policy.
In addition, the Chiefs will face additional scrutiny as this is just the latest in a long list of troubling charges for their players. The organization has shown a lot of tolerance for the off-field problems of its players in recent years. Whether that will continue with Worthy and what the team's response to it will be worth watching over the next few weeks.
