Former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill is no stranger to sparking controversy, having inspired trade rumors with his social media antics throughout the offseason. He quickly found out the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence with the Miami Dolphins, and it feels increasingly likely that the five-time All-Pro won't stay there long-term.
Thanks largely to Tua Tagovailoa's injury history and limitations at quarterback, the Dolphins are stuck in the worst place to be in the NFL. They're too good to land a high draft pick, yet obviously not good enough to compete for a championship.
As a result, it sounds like they're preparing for a rebuild. In a surprise turn of events on Tuesday morning, Hill's most accomplished teammate is reportedly seeking a trade.
The #Dolphins and seven-time Pro Bowl CB Jalen Ramsey are mutually set to explore trade options and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he played elsewhere in 2025, per me and @TomPelissero.

Tyreek Hill's Dolphins Teammate Jalen Ramsey Reportedly Seeking Trade
According to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Dolphins and star cornerback Jalen Ramsey are mutually set to explore trade options. A three-time All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowler, Ramsey is widely considered to be one of the best defensive backs in the league. He won a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams, and sending him away would indicate that Miami doesn't intend to truly compete in 2025.
That's significant for Hill. Already 31 years old, Hill failed to crack 1,000 receiving yards last year for the first time since 2019. He played in all 17 games in 2024 though compared to just 12 in that campaign, so it seems that Hill's best days are likely behind him.
Given how much his game is predicated on speed, it was always probable that he'd fall off quickly. If he wants to win another Super Bowl or at least be in a position to, he needs to find a new team before it's too late.
He's in the second season of a three-year, $90 million deal, but there's a potential out after 2025. Any team who traded for him could do so knowing that they could go in a different direction should things not work out, making him an intriguing option for franchises with some cap space.
It doesn't feel realistic that the Chiefs would reunite with him at this stage, though the probability isn't 0%. Should things continue in this direction, perhaps fans dreaming of Hill coming back will have some fuel for their fire.
