Earlier this month, Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill was asked about returning to the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of the trade deadline. At the time, the Dolphins were 1-3, not like the team we saw last year.

The former Chiefs wide receiver didn’t shut down the idea of a trade but also stated how much he loved being with the Dolphins.

"“You know what man, I'm just focused on right here and right now,” Hill said (h/t Bryan DeArdo of CBS Sports). “We got a beautiful team here, and I want to be a part of it. You know, got a great situation here. My family loves it. I enjoy it. The weather's great. The fans are great. So we got a beautiful situation here, man.”"

Fast forward weeks later and the Dolphins are now 2-5 just days before the NFL trade deadline. The Chiefs likely won’t make another trade for a wide receiver after acquiring DeAndre Hopkins from the Tennessee Titans, ruling out a Hill return.

On Wednesday, Hill made a small joke about his current team on social media after a fan said, “I like when you make impact players on Sunday.”

Hill responded with, “Same now I’m a blocker.”

Thankfully, Miami fans didn’t take Hill’s tweet too seriously as some pointed out that he enjoyed blocking in last week’s game against the Dolphins.

At the same time, Hill's response could be interpreted as him throwing shots at his head coach as we know he’s better with the ball in his hands. The former Chiefs wideout will hopefully not be blocking a ton in this week's game against the Bills.
