Trent McDuffie Makes Shocking Reveal About Interception to Finish Browns
The Kansas City Chiefs had one of their best defensive performances of the season on Sunday in their 21-7 victory over the Cleveland Browns. The Chiefs' defense totaled five sacks and four interceptions.
The highlight of the day, however, was cornerback Trent McDuffie's sliding interception of Jameis Winston in the fourth quarter.
After the game, McDuffie told reporters that he saw Winston launch the ball to his side of the field on the Jumbotron, and then he turned around to intercept it.

After McDuffie's comments, his interception is even more surprising. Typically, when a player is looking up at the jumbotron during a play, they aren't focused on what's happening on the field. That usually leads to bug plats happening for the other team.
Nevertheless, it seemed to work for McDuffie on this play. This most likely results from the fact that Winston is turnover-prone to begin with. So even though McDuffie took his eyes off the field of play, he had enough time to react and recover, thanks to Winston's poor decisions.
Not only was McDuffie's interception one of the best in the NFL all season, but it was also his first career interception. Having that memorable first NFL interception is awesome, but he can't let it lead to bad habits.
Moving forward, McDuffie needs to make sure to keep his eyes in front of him and not on the Jumbotron. If he's looking at the Jumbotron during plays in the playoffs, that will certainly hurt the Chiefs.
That's not to say that McDuffie will do that, as this seems like it's a one-time thing, but there's a chance since it worked, it could form a bad habit.
