Travis Kelce Destroys Jerry Jones Over Cowboys' Sun Debacle
By Cem Yolbulan
The Kansas City Chiefs are the only undefeated team in the NFL and are riding high ahead of their AFC showdown against the Bills in Week 11. Not every team with Super Bowl aspirations is having as good of a time as the Chiefs.
Leading the pack of disappointing teams this season is the Dallas Cowboys. After suffering four straight losses to fall to 3-6, the Cowboys are imploding. Naturally, the rest of the league, including the Chiefs, is enjoying the implosion.
Travis Kelce didn't miss the opportunity to take shots at Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones in the latest episode of New Heights.
NFL News: Travis Kelce Roasts Jerry Jones About His Latest Comments
In their embarrassing home loss to the Eagles this week, Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb missed an easy pass in the end zone because he couldn't see the ball due to the glare from the reflection of the sun in the stadium. He mentioned the need for curtains on the windows after the game, which Jerry Jones didn't appreciate.
Jerry Jones' response, "The world knows where the sun is. We get to know that almost a year in advance. So someone asked me about the sun. What about the sun? Where’s the moon?" understandably drew the ridicule of Travis Kelce. The star tight end asked the very fair question, "What the **** is Jerry talking about?" in this hilarious segment.
"Jerry Jones is still at war with the sun...Playing in that stadium, I had that problem before... It's absolutely ridiculous."
- Travis Kelce
Kelce is obviously siding with CeeDee Lamb and the Cowboys players here. As a pass-catcher himself, he understands the challenges of not being able to track the ball due to the sun. Why a team would insist on not solving this problem is certainly difficult to understand.
