The Kansas City Chiefs welcomed cornerback Jaylen Watson back last week against the Houston Texans. Prior to returning, Watson was sidelined with a broken tibia/fibula that he suffered in Week 7. Given the extended time Watson missed, the Chiefs eased him back into action by limiting his snap count against the Texans.

This week, however, Watson will need to see an increased snap count against the Buffalo Bills to help secure a victory. Luckily, that seems to be exactly what will happen. According to Pete Sweeny, defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo told reporters, " They Hope to get more out of him (Jaylen Watson) this week."

Last week, Watson recorded one tackle and one pass deflection. In addition, he allowed one catch on three targets, playing 59% of the defensive snaps. Coming off the injury, that was a solid day. Nevertheless, Watson will need to return to the level he was playing at before the injury to beat the Bills.

Even though Buffalo doesn't have a stacked receiving corps, Josh Allen is able to elevate them when it's needed. When these two teams played in Week 11, Allen threw for 262 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. While they didn't have a receiver pass 100 yards, three had more than 50: Curtis Samuel (58), Amari Cooper(55), and Khalil Shakir (70).

Increasing Watson's playing time this week will help minimize these receivers even more. Furthermore, an increase in playing time will help the Chiefs' ability to slow down Allen's running.

Watson is a sure tackler, which is needed going up against a player as big and physical as Allen. Although Watson may not see 100% of the snaps on Sunday, it's safe to say he will see at least 80%.
