Star College RB Already Planning Out Future With Chiefs
By Joe Summers
The best running back in college football seemingly wants to join the Chiefs, making his preference known in a recent social media post.
Boise State star Ashton Jeanty, who has made a name for himself with one of the most remarkable seasons in college football history, wants Kansas City to know that he's ready to join the two-time defending Super Bowl champions.
While the Chiefs already have Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt, it's hard not to imagine how effective the offense could be with a player of Jeanty's talent.

So far this season, Jeanty has 275 carries for 2,062 yards and 27 TDs. Those numbers are not a typo - he's genuinely that ridiculously good.
His highlight tape will make you jump out of your seat and he's already imagining a potential life with Patrick Mahomes. Few players are as talented as Jeanty and almost none make as much sense as he does should general manager Brett Veach decide to target the backfield.
Isiah Pacheco, for all of his efforts, is an injury-prone running back that'll be a free agent after next year. Veach doesn't typically commit significant contracts to aging players and based on the market for players like Pacheco, next season could be his last as a Chief.
If that's the case, targeting Jeanty in the first round makes sense. Kansas City has far more significant issues that could be adequately addressed early in the draft and the team proved this year that they can just grab a running back off the street. In that sense, drafting Jeanty in the first round would be foolish.
There's little-to-no chance that the Chiefs acquire Jeanty. Even still, it's fun to think about.
