There is just one game left in the regular season schedule before the playoffs get started. The Kansas City Chiefs were slammed with injuries to key players throughout the season but that didn't stop them from being an elite club.

The Chiefs are 15-1 and locked down the No. 1 seed with home-field advantage in the postseason. This team is chasing their third straight Super Bowl championship, so they're getting mentally and physically prepared.

Their starters will be resting in Week 18 against the Denver Broncos, making Carson Wentz the starting QB for this bout.

The attention is focused on finishing the regular season strong and go into the postseason ready to defend their title. While that is happening over in Kansas City, there are already rumors circulating regarding head coaching vacancies.

The Athletic's Dianna Russini wrote an article on the coaching buzz that she's hearing about the league. She revealed that the New Orleans Saints will have an interest in the Chiefs' offensive coordinator Matt Nagy for their HC opening.

Chiefs News: Matt Nagy is a Name to Watch for the Saints

Russini wrote, "Expect the Saints to show interest in former Bears head coach and current Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy."

Nagy has had two different stints with the Chiefs. The first one ran from 2013-2017 as a quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator. He then left to become the Chicago Bears head coach from 2018-2021. In four seasons in Chicago, Nagy went 34-31 with an 0-2 record in the postseason.

After being fired by the Bears, he returned to Kansas City in 2022. This season, he became the offensive coordinator. Under Nagy, they are ranked 13th in total offense (342), 10th in passing offense (231.8), and 11th in scoring offense (24.1).

These numbers, in combination with his coaching experience, are interesting to the Saints. New Orleans will have to wait until they can talk to Nagy but he's on their radar.
