Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice's devastating knee injury in Week 4 last season torpedoed what looked like a breakout campaign. The offense never quite looked the same, though fans are understandably excited about the possibility of seeing Rice, Xavier Worthy, and Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown on the field together in 2025.

In essentially just three weeks, Rice caught 24 of 29 targets for 288 yards and two TDs. If he can get anywhere close to that level of production when he's back on the field, it'll open everything up for Patrick Mahomes and the other pass-catching options.

There's reasonable concern that he won't be the same following the injury, though the 24-year-old rising star recently shared a new workout video that'll excite Chiefs Kingdom.

Rashee Rice Shares New Workout Video During Injury Recovery

In a video shared to X (formerly known as Twitter), Rice showed himself briefly practicing route-running with an agility drill. He looks quick, sharp, and similar to the player who was in the process of taking the torch from Travis Kelce.

The Chiefs are expected to still add some depth at the position after losing Mecole Hardman, but Rice should enter the campaign as Mahomes' clear No. 1 target. Worthy and Brown's speed on downfield routes can give Rice cushion underneath to run underneath and generate yards after the catch, something that he excelled at down the stretch in his rookie season.

It was always expected that Rice would be ready for the start of the 2025 season. This is just the latest evidence in support of that notion, and Kansas City may finally get back to the electric one we saw early in Mahomes' career.

There's a long summer ahead and more moves are on the horizon, especially with the draft next month, yet Rice's return is the biggest reason to feel optimistic about the Chiefs' chances to get back to the Super Bowl and win it this time.

Here's hoping this video is a sign of things to come.
