The Kansas City Chiefs are set to be the healthiest they've been all season heading into the playoffs with the imminent return of Marquise Brown. Even with Brown's return, the Chiefs are still down their number one receiver Rashee Rice.

He suffered a major knee injury in week four against the Los Angeles Chargers and is expected to miss the remainder of the 2024 season. Despite that, Rice's recent Instagram story of him, Xavier Worthy and Brown in practice jerseys got fans questioning if he could return sooner.

Chiefs News: Rashee Rice Teases Return on Social Media

While the photo Rice posted is from training camp, this was the intended receiving trio for the season, so who knows what Rice is trying to insinuate. The most likely scenario is that Rice was just trying to have fun with his Instagram followers. Even so, some athletes are able to return from injuries faster than others, so never say never.

Before getting hurt, Rice had 24 receptions on 29 targets for 288 yards and two touchdowns. He started the season off red-hot, putting up good numbers that were bound to increase as the season went on as the focal point of the passing attack.

If Rice does make a surprise return in the playoffs the Chiefs' receiving corps could go from below-average to very dangerous. Having DeAndre Hopkins, Travis Kelce, Noah Gray, Juju Smith-Schuster, Xavier Worthy, Rice, and Brown will put a lot of different stresses on defenses.

It will be interesting to see if Rice's Instagram story was a tease of what is to come in the playoffs or if he was just having some fun on social media.
