Wildcats News: QB Will Howard Transfers to Ohio State
By Joe Summers
Former Kansas State Wildcats QB Will Howard told ESPN Thursday he was committing to Ohio State to lead the Buckeyes after the program fell just short of the College Football Playoff in 2023.
Howard spent four seasons with the Wildcats, leading Kansas State to a 9-4 record and a bowl victory over North Carolina State.
He'll take over a talented Buckeyes squad, with legitimate championship aspirations this next season.

Howard completed 61.3% of his passes this year for 2,643 yards with 24 TDs to 10 interceptions. He added 351 yards and nine TDs on the ground, showcasing an impressive dual-threat capability that'll pair well with an explosive Ohio State offense.
The Buckeyes were disappointed with their QB play, losing to the hated Michigan Wolverines for a third consecutive season. Howard has high expectations, but he's developed into one of the better signal callers in the country.
He reportedly considered testing the NFL waters but decided to bolster his stock with another year in college. In a system that produced recent top draft picks like Justin Fields and CJ Stroud, Howard should have every opportunity to produce.
A new era awaits Kansas State Football, though Wildcats fans can still cheer Howard on from afar in 2024.
