Steve Spagnuolo Reveals His Message to Brock Purdy After Super Bowl
By Joe Summers
The Chiefs got the best of the 49ers in the Super Bowl with a dramatic 25-22 walk-off win, but San Francisco QB Brock Purdy has at least one fan on Kansas City's sideline.
Appearing with Peter Schrager of Good Morning America, Chiefs' defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo sang Purdy's praises and admitted to trying to find his phone number to tell him how impressive the former seventh-round draft pick was even in defeat.
See what Spagnuolo had to say below.

After Schrager asked about potential holes in Purdy's game that've caused division across the media landscape, Spagnuolo admitted that he "didn't find many."
Purdy's great plays on the ground against Green Bay and Detroit stood out in particular to Spagnuolo, who wasn't previously aware of how dangerous Purdy could be with his legs.
Once he tracked down Purdy's number, Spagnuolo texted him to let the young gunslinger know how much respect he had for him and "what a terrific game he played."
Of course, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs ultimately outlasted the 49ers, though Purdy did complete 23/38 passes for 255 yards and a TD with no interceptions. He added three carries for 12 yards on the ground, ultimately avoiding any massive mistake to ruin San Francisco's chances.
There are legitimate questions about how much Purdy can elevate the talent around him, but he's one of the best value contracts in the NFL given the positional importance. He'll soon likely get a huge payday, though for now he's made a believer out of the Chiefs' four-time Super Bowl winning coordinator.
