Michael Wacha's First Comments as a Royal Should Excite Fans
Michael Wacha on joining the #Royals: "I’ve seen this ballpark when winning baseball is going on with postseason appearances, the atmosphere here and what it could be. The potential is here with this team. A lot of excitement here. Couldn’t be more pumped to put on this uniform."

Wacha spurned other interested teams to join the Royals and his positivity is a signal that J.J. Picollo has this team moving in the right direction.
After adding Seth Lugo to a $45 million deal, Kansas City now has two strong starters from last year's Padres team to join a promising rotation including Cole Ragans and Brady Singer.
Over the last two seasons, Wacha is 25-6 with an ERA around 3.3. He's one of the more dependable starters in the American League and will be backed by a rising offense led by Bobby Witt Jr., Vinnie Pasquantino and Maikel Garcia.
The 2024 season looks bright for Royals fans and Wacha's comments are a big step towards playing competitive baseball once again.
