Patriots Legend Declares Patrick Mahomes is Better Than Tom Brady

Patrick Mahomes is off to one of the greatest starts to a career in NFL history and at least one former Patriots legend believes he'll go down as better than even Tom Brady.

Safety Rodney Harrison spent six seasons with New England, winning two Super Bowls and witnessing Brady's rise first-hand.

In an interview prior to the Chiefs' win over the Patriots on Sunday, Harrison declared his admiration for the Chiefs' signal caller.

That's high praise coming from a man who played alongside Brady. With two Super Bowl MVPs and two regular season MVPs already on the trophy shelf, Mahomes is certainly off to a good start.

Brady's seven Super Bowl rings are tough to catch, but the Chiefs are well-positioned for the years to come and there's no denying how electric Mahomes is on a football field.

So far in his illustrious career, Mahomes has 27,944 passing yards with 217 TDs. He's led the Chiefs to an AFC West crown every year of his career and Kansas City has hosted the AFC Championship each year of that stretch as well.

The Chiefs face an uphill battle to claim the No. 1 seed in the AFC this year, but there's still time to make it six straight years hosting the AFC title game. We'll see what comes in future weeks, though it's lovely to see a Patriots great giving Mahomes his rightful flowers.
