Patrick Mahomes Roasts Chris Jones Over Plans to Skip Chiefs Camp
By Joe Summers
Training camp week is officially here as rookies and veterans will start reporting in anticipation of the Chiefs getting started on July 21.
With such an experienced roster, most players know the grueling few weeks ahead as Andy Reid is notoriously difficult in training camp to ensure his team is prepared for the tough season. Star defender Chris Jones recently joked that he's lobbying with Reid for some off-days, and now Patrick Mahomes is poking fun at his teammate on social media.
When Jones posted that he was ready for camp, Mahomes quickly reminded him that he might not even be there.

Rookies and quarterbacks have to report on Tuesday, July 16, with various other players reporting throughout the week. The team will hold three closed practices before opening things up to the public starting on Sunday.
While Mahomes has to report on Tuesday, Jones was quick to point out that he's neither a rookie nor a quarterback.
The two have gone to many wars and accomplished unbelievable things together, hoping to earn a fourth Super Bowl victory this season. They're both likely to retire as Chiefs, cementing their respective statuses as legends within the community.
Vibes are different entering this year. Chris Jones isn't holding out and everyone is focused on the ultimate goal.
Both love the grind and everything that comes with it, though it's understandable they aren't exactly thrilled about a brutal training camp during sweltering heat in St. Joseph, Missouri. It'll pay off in the end and Reid's methods clearly work, but I'm grateful to be sitting in the friendly confines of my air-conditioned home.
Once training camp begins, it'll be all business for Mahomes, Jones, and the rest of the Chiefs' veterans. For now though, it's nice to see them enjoy some laughs before the grind begins.
