The NFL world is focused on Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa after the veteran suffered another scary head/neck injury on Thursday Night Football in 31-10 loss to the Bills. Tagovailoa has dealt with numerous injuries throughout his career, and this latest one raises questions about his football future.

With the game well out of reach, Tagovailoa scrambled in the red zone and took a shot on his way down. He was removed from the contest, clearly dealing with concussive symptoms in a manner that concerned all watching.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes immediately took to X.com (more commonly known as Twitter) to share his worry and offer Tagovailoa support.

Concussions are an unfortunate part of football and an issue the league has spent significant resources trying to curb. Even down to changing the kickoff rules, the NFL's actions indicate it wants to reduce head injuries.

However, the world seeing Tagovailoa get hurt once again brought a cruel reality to the forefront during a primetime game. The QB will be evaluated over the weekend, but it's hard to imagine him playing again anytime soon.

Mahomes has done an excellent job avoiding significant injuries during his career, purposefully avoiding dangerous contact even when scrambling. Seeing a player go down like Tagovailoa did is always scary, and fans hope it's the last time we see an injury like that this season.

For now, all are wishing Tagovailoa the best. Whether or not he steps on a field again this year isn't important - all that matters is getting him healthy and preventing long-term damage.
