Patrick Mahomes has a brand new commercial with Coors Light, making fun of the NFL's rules that active players can't technically endorse alcohol brands.

In the ad, Mahomes films a commercial that's placed in a time capsule to be seen when/if the NFL changes the rule. Mahomes has avoided violations previously by backing branded items like shirts instead of the beer itself, though he and Coors Light decided to have some fun with this one.

It's a fun commercial and one of Mahomes' better performances to date.

Patrick Mahomes Pokes Fun at NFL Rule in Coors Light Commercial

Mahomes is shown riding the silver bullet train before a representative lets him know they have to stop filming because he can't promote beer. The three-time Super Bowl MVP is disappointed, as are the other crew members.

Someone suggests they put the ad they're "filming" in a time capsule, which Mahomes dismisses before they apparently decide to follow through with the plan. Coors Light is even hosting an event on their YouTube channel on Friday, June 28 at 10 AM CST to bury an actual time capsule with what is assumed to be an actual commercial.

Props to Coors Light's marketing team and Mahomes for going along with the gag and finding a way to support Mahomes' favorite beer while not actually breaking the rules. Mahomes' fame is only growing and he's growing more comfortable in front of a camera with each new ad.
