Patrick Mahomes is focused on becoming the first QB in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls, but there's one specific regular-season game he's got circled in the 2024-25 season.

The Chiefs infamously fell to the Raiders 20-14 on Christmas Day in 2023 and Mahomes sounds ready to rock on the holiday this year. In comments to the media following Chiefs' OTAs (offseason activities) on Wednesday, Mahomes explained he wants revenge.

Kansas City takes on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day this year, their third game in 10 days, though it doesn't sound like the three-time Super Bowl MVP is concerned.

Patrick Mahomes Has Christmas Day Game vs. Steelers Circled

In that unfortunate AFC West lost, Mahomes completed 27 of 44 passes for 235 yards (5.3 yards per attempt) with a TD and interception while taking four sacks. He added 53 yards on the ground but threw a pick-six to Jack Jones, giving the Raiders two scores in six game seconds.

Former Broncos QB Russell Wilson is now expected to be the Steelers' starting QB, though Justin Fields may be starting at this point in the season. Either way, Mahomes has his heart set on revenge.

It's rare to see Mahomes rattled and struggle. This was one of those rare occasions. It speaks to Mahomes' competitive drive that he's focused on avenging his poor performance in 2023. He's got two kids and, obviously, a lot going on, so it'd normally be understandable to excuse his performance.

Not for Mahomes. He cares about any perceived slights or potential struggles. Despite playing three games in 10 days, you can bet Mahomes will be ready for this Steelers game.
