Patrick Mahomes finished just seventh in MVP voting this season, but the king still reigns supreme as he won his third Super Bowl MVP while leading the Chiefs to another Super Bowl victory.

Betting odds for the 2024-25 MVP were just released and they've got Mahomes back at the top where he belongs.

After a "down" year by his standards, Mahomes should get a retooled offense in the offseason and be ready to put up fantastic numbers for the NFL's best team. Let's take a look at those opening odds and how the field looks below.

2024-25 NFL MVP Odds: Patrick Mahomes Atop the Leaderboard

Mahomes is listed at +600 odds to win his third MVP, making him the favorite to win his third NFL MVP award.

Josh Allen is second at +800, while Joe Burrow (+900), CJ Stroud (+1100) and Lamar Jackson (+1200) round out the top five. Of course, Mahomes was not one of the five finalists to win this year's award, though he beat four of the top five en route to the Super Bowl win.

Chiefs' receivers led the league in drops this year, contributing to a statistically disappointing season for Mahomes. He finished with 4,183 yards while completing a career-high 67.2% of his passes with 27 TDs and 14 interceptions. Mahomes added a career-high 389 yards on the ground, though we can expect better statistics next season with an improved receiving corps.

We'll see what comes of the offseason, but regardless, it's nice to see the king back where he belongs.
