L'Jarius Sneed's impending free agency is one of the most important storylines of the offseason for Chiefs Kingdom. He was one of NFL's best cornerbacks and Brett Veach has declared keeping him a top priority.

Kansas City isn't the only suitor for Sneed's services, though. Philadelphia needs an overhaul in its secondary and three of Sneed's former college teammates are reportedly trying to convince him to join them with the Eagles.

After helping topple Philly in last year's Super Bowl, could Sneed soon be on the other side?

Eagles Players Lobbying for L'Jarius Sneed Signing

Originally selected in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Sneed spent four years at Louisiana Tech establishing himself as the versatile, physical cornerback we know and love today.

It's understandable that Sneed's former teammates want him in Philadelphia. The Eagles ranked 19th in opponent yards per play (6.7) and fell apart down the stretch, ultimately leading to an early playoff exit. Howie Roseman is likely to be fervent about improving the defense, making Sneed a logical target.

Opposing QBs had just a 56.2 passer rating when targeting Sneed this year. He's in line for a big payday and has already been called the best free agency fit for Philadelphia.

Veach still has a trump card in his pocket, as he can franchise tag Sneed if necessary. With the Chiefs hoping to make history as the first team to ever win three straight Super Bowls, Kansas City's front office will likely do everything in its power to keep the star defender in town.
