The Missouri Tigers landed one of the best QBs in the 2025 class, securing a commitment from Matt Zollers out of Pennsylvania.

It's a massive get for Eli Drinkwitz and his staff, beating out schools like Penn State, Pittsburgh and even Georgia to get Zollers. Considered the third-best QB prospect in the class, he's a four-star recruit and significantly bolsters the Tigers' recruiting class.

As college football undergoes significant changes with Missouri in line to potentially make the expanded playoff, it looks like Drinkwitz's team will be competitive for at least the next half-decade.

Zollers is a dual-threat QB and named MVP of the Pioneer Athletic Conference Liberty Division on top of earning All-State honors in Pennsylvania.

During his senior season, Zollers completed 62.8% of his passes for 2,917 yards and 37 passing TDs to just two interceptions. He added 420 yards and seven more TDs on the ground while averaging 6.5 yards per carry.

He's the first hard commit of the class for Drinkwitz and ranks as one of the best gets of the coach's tenure. Missouri Tigers fans should be thrilled, as Zollers' commitment will likely help the program pick up other talented players as well.

It was a rocky start to Drinkwitz's tenure, but things have turned around in a hurry over the last year. The Missouri Tigers should be SEC contenders as soon as this season and it's a thrilling time to be a Tigers fan.
