The Chiefs host the Dolphins Saturday evening in the AFC Wild Card round of the playoffs, and Mother Nature is not messing around this postseason.

Frigid conditions are expected in Kansas City with gusty winds and potentially even sub-zero temperatures. Considering the Dolphins are used to the warm Miami environment, poor weather could give the Chiefs a big advantage.

Check out the latest weather forecast and what to expect below.

Kansas City Weather Forecast for Chiefs vs. Dolphins

The "feels like" temperature could get down to -17 and the gusty winds will provide a challenge to both teams.

This has the makings of a classic, old-school, snowy football game in which physicality and mental toughness will reign supreme. The Chiefs' defense can certainly hang, though we'll need to keep an eye on the numerous injuries Kansas City suffered in Week 18 before we can feel overly confident.

Historically, the Dolphins struggle when forced to play in weather like this. They've lost their last 10 games with temperatures at 40 degrees or below, giving the Chiefs a critical edge.

With Tyreek Hill coming to down, you can bet we'll have a fierce environment. We'll keep you updated on any weather updates throughout the week, though make sure you pack a blanket if you plan to attend the Wild Card round.
