5. Stephone Paige (1983-1991)

Stephone Paige achieved nearly a decade of consistent production despite limited passing numbers in his era and a pair of talented teammates in Henry Marshall and Carlos Carson. Originally undrafted, Paige went on to have a prosperous career spent entirely with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Ranked eighth in team history in receiving yards (6,341), Paige became one of the NFL's most dangerous red-zone threats with back-to-back seasons of double-digit touchdowns back in 1985-1986.

His 1985 campaign was truly special, catching 43 passes for 943 yards at a league-leading 21.9 yards per catch with 10 TDs. Considering this was 40 years ago, Paige's offensive excellence should not go overlooked.

Recording 309 yards on eight receptions with a young Kevin Harlan on the call is enough for any Chiefs fan to feel goosebumps and Paige remains one of the finest receivers in Kansas City Chiefs history.

4. Carlos Carson (1980-1989)

One of Paige's teammates, Carlos Carson has one of the finest resumes in the history of the organization. The defining Chiefs' wide receiver of the 1980s, Carson is seventh all-time in receiving yards in franchise history (6,360).

The two-time Pro Bowler had three 1,000-yard seasons with Kansas City and while he never achieved postseason success, Carson's accomplishments can't be overlooked, and he overshadows other teammates on this list.

Carson caught 80 passes for 1,351 yards and seven TDs in 1983, an exceptional accomplishment adjusting for era. He averaged 18.1 yards per catch for his career, representing the incredible downfield threat Carson provided even in the '80s.

During an era of disappointing production, Carson represented a beacon of hope for a struggling franchise.
