6. Chris Burford (1960-1967)

Chris Burford didn't have as long of a career as some of the other players on this list, though he deserves recognition for his era-adjusted production and inclusion into the Chiefs Ring of Honor. He's one of only four Chiefs receivers to be in the Ring of Honor and was essentially the first "great" wideout in franchise history.

The two-time AFL Champion was with the team when it was the Dallas Texans and recorded at least 575 yards in each of his first seven professional seasons. He led the AFL in touchdowns in 1962 (12), earning All-AFL honors that season.

Burford is one of the few legends who serve as a bridge between the Dallas Texans and Kansas City Chiefs. He's easily forgotten in Chiefs lore but remains just as important as more recent players.

Only a handful of Chiefs receivers have ever won a championship and Burford is one of them. He ranks ninth in franchise history in receiving yards (5,505).
