The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster had a busy 2024 so far. First, he was released by the New England Patriots despite having two more years on his contract. Then, he returned to Kansas City on a one-year deal to reunite with the team he won his only Super Bowl. Now, he made an even more important life decision as he announced his engagement to long-time girlfriend Laura Kruk.

Smith-Schuster announced the big news on Instagram with the caption, "I thank God every day for you. Now & Forever" after he proposed on a boat on Nantucket Island in Massachusetts.

NFL News: JuJu Smith-Schuster Announces Engagement

His Chiefs teammates including Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce immediately congratulated him on his engagement.

Smith-Schuster made his re-debut with the Chiefs against the Ravens on Thursday. He saw 12 snaps and was targeted once but finished the game without accumulating any stats. The 27-year-old receiver joined the team less than three weeks ago, so getting him acclimated back will take some time.

In 2022, Smith-Schuster was a big part of the Chiefs' Super Bowl run. He finished that season with 78 catches, 933 yards, and three touchdowns in 16 games while adding 10 catches for 89 yards in three playoff games. His Patriots tenure left plenty to be desired as he couldn't establish himself in the dysfunctional New England offense.

Now, he is hoping to get his career back on track with the Chiefs. Whether he will be able to be as big of a part of the offense as he was in 2022 remains to be seen.
