Chiefs vs. Eagles Week 11 Opening Odds Suggest Chiefs are Super Bowl Favorites
By Joe Summers
Both the Chiefs and Eagles are on a bye this week before a Monday Night Football Super Bowl rematch in Week 11.
Of course, Kansas City won the thrilling championship game 38-35, cementing Patrick Mahomes as the era's greatest quarterback. Sportsbooks released opening odds for the matchup and the Chiefs are projected to come out on top once again.
Let's take a look at what oddsmakers say about the game before you can win a $150 FanDuel bonus by picking the winner!
Chiefs vs. Eagles Week 11 Opening Odds
The Chiefs opened as 2.5-point home favorites over the Eagles despite Philadelphia being the only one-loss team in the NFL. Kansas City is -142 on the moneyline with the total set at 48.
Covering the spread in six of its last eight contests at home thanks in large part to a stellar defense, the Chiefs saw the total points scored go UNDER in seven of those eight games as well.
For the Eagles, they're 5-2-2 against the spread (ATS) but did suffer their only loss of the season on the road to the Jets in Week 6. As an underdog, Philly struggles. The Eagles lost each of their last five games as 'dogs, failing to cover the spread in the most recent four contests.
I trust Patrick Mahomes in huge games like this one. The Eagles' middling secondary ranks 15th in opponent pass yards per attempt (6.4), so Mahomes and Travis Kelce should have space to operate.
With Kansas City's elite defense and experienced offense, the Chiefs are in a great position to remind the world why they're the defending Super Bowl champions.
