Wildcats' forward Nae'Qwan Tomlin is officially transferring to Memphis after being dismissed from the Kansas State basketball program.

After being informed he would not be part of the program following a bar fight this fall, Tomlin entered the transfer portal and swiftly found a new home.

He was a critical component of the Wildcats' team that made the Elite Eight last year and should provide an on-court boost to the Tigers.

K State Roster News: Nae'Qwan Tomlin Transferring to Memphis

Tomlin averaged 10.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per game for Kansas State last season while shooting 50%, adding over a block and steal per contest.

He scored in double figures in all four of the Wildcats' NCAA Tournament games last year, averaging 12.5 points, five rebounds and two blocks per game. His presence will be missed, though the Wildcats are off to a great start regardless.

Kansas State is 8-2 after taking down LSU, hoping to return to the NCAA Tournament under Jerome Tang. The Wildcats take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers this Saturday, and I imagine the roster is anxious to put the Tomlin saga behind it.
