Chris Jones spoke to media on Tuesday, his first public comments this week as the Chiefs take on the Dolphins in the Wild Card round on Saturday.

We've operated under the assumption that this would be Jones' final season in Kansas City, and his comments indicate he may feel the same way.

Is Saturday night going to be Jones' last home game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium ever?

Chris Jones Admits This Could Be Last Game in Kansas City

By any measure, Jones is one of the best Chiefs of all-time and a lock to make the Ring of Honor.

He's helped Kansas City hoist two Lombardi Trophies and could be on his way to helping with another, so it's sad to consider a future without him.

Nonetheless, it'd make sense for Brett Veach to prioritize flexibility in roster building. Jones will likely command north of $30 million per year. With so many young players coming up for extensions soon, commiting that much money to a player older than 30 could hamgstring the Chiefs' ability to compete moving forward.

We'll see what happens with the negotiations this offseason, but I'll enjoy every moment we get of Jones in Kansas City until then.
