Justyn Ross was arrested Monday afternoon on criminal property damage charges less than $25,000, a level 7 felony charge in Kansas.

Comments listed in the booking include "**DV**" though no further information is given.

Justyn Ross Arrested on Felony Charge

These are still preliminary charges, so a prosecutor could theoretically add a charge after reviewing the case. While we don't yet have more information, Ross could also be subject to discipline per the NFL's personal conduct policy as well as potential discipline from the Chiefs.

The organization has not yet released a statement, though it's easy to draw similarities to Willie Gay Jr.'s four-game suspension last year. The critical difference that we're aware of between the two cases, of course, is that Gay Jr.'s charge was only a misdemeanor. Ross' felony charge could bring harsher punishment.

In the past, the NFL's precedent was to wait until after the legal process to issue any punishment, but Kansas City could certainly take action sooner.

This story will be updated once the team releases a statement or more information becomes publicly available.
