By Joe Summers
The Chiefs got back on track with a much-needed win over the Patriots and now turn their attention to the lowly Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day.
Vegas has been impressive under interim coach Antonio Pierce, shellacking the Chargers 63-21 in Week 15. The Raiders are 3-3 in their last six games overall, though they've lost six straight games to the Chiefs.
Opening odds are out for the matchup and they forecast a Kansas City beatdown. Let's check out what oddsmakers have to say about this AFC West showdown.
Chiefs vs. Raiders Week 16 Opening Odds
The Chiefs open as 10-point favorites with -480 odds on the moneyline and a total set at 43.
That means oddsmakers roughly expect a 26-16 type of affair with Kansas City's defense smothering the Raiders' offense.
Kansas City is 4-1 against the spread in its last five games against Vegas, though the Chiefs have two straight home losses and hope to get back in the win column at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
It's fair to expect a strong defensive performance, as the under hit in each of the Chiefs' last five home games and is 6-2 in the Raiders' last eight games on the road.
