While an injury to Isiah Pacheco made it bittersweet, Kansas City Chiefs fans should generally be feeling pretty good about their 2-0 start. Injuries have slowed things down a bit to start the season, but KC has no less solidified itself as the Super Bowl favorite. FanDuel Sportsbook has their odds at +490, while the second-placed San Francisco 49ers are a distant +650. That's a big shift after KC and San Fran were neck-and-neck all offseason.

Despite this, Chiefs fans can't be feeling great about how the opening odds look for their Week 3 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

Chiefs vs. Falcons Week 3 Odds: Moneyline, Spread & Over/Under

Spread: KC -4.5 (-118) | ATL +4.5 (-104)
Moneyline: KC (-245) | ATL (+205)
Total: 46.5 — Over (-105) | Under (--115)

Pending any changes that come from Atlanta's Monday Night Football result, the Chiefs open as just 4.5-point underdogs against the Falcons. Considering the Falcons are 0-1 with a loss to the PIttsburgh Steelers (led by a backup quarterback), these are not the odds fans of the Super Bowl favorite would expect.

A lot of fans would hope for KC to be favored by something closer to a touchdown, and their implied win probability from the moneyline to be a little higher than 68.4%.

But keep in mind that the Chiefs are really still trying to find a rhythm. The receiving corps was shaken up by Hollywood Brown's injury right before the season, and that has a rookie playing a much larger role than expected. Travis Kelce's role has been smaller than usual. The passing game hasn't really opened up, either, with Patrick Mahomes throwing just 53 passes in two games. And now Pacheco is out.

So it makes sense, really, that the Chiefs might underperform here — especially in their first road game of the season. Keep in mind that being at home typically gives a team an extra point or two on the spread (suggesting the Chiefs may actually be favored by a TD if this game were at Arrowhead).

With the Super Bowl odds highlighting the Chiefs as bigger favorites than ever, fans don't need to get too worked up about these Week 3 odds — even if they feel a little disrespectful.
