All eyes are on what should be a star-studded showdown between the Chiefs and Eagles on Monday Night Football, though at least one impact defender won't be suiting up.

If you think the Chiefs are in for a big night offensively like I do, this news is a welcome surprise.

Here's the latest:

Injury News: Eagles DE Derek Barnett Ruled Out vs. Chiefs

Derek Barnett, a 2017 first-round pick out of Tennessee, will miss tonight's game due to personal reasons.

He's played sparingly this season, recording only three total tackles, but Barnett has 21.5 career sacks and gives the Eagles' defensive front valuable depth.

In a game that will likely be won in the trenches, partially due to poor weather, any boost the Chiefs get for the offensive line is a bonus.

Both teams will officially announce their inactive list 90 minutes prior to kickoff, but for now, we know Barnett will not be playing.
