Our Kansas City Chiefs square off with the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round this Sunday night in the first road playoff game of Patrick Mahomes' career.
While this is the third time Mahomes will face Josh Allen in the postseason, the Chiefs and Bills' playoff history goes back decades. From the epic "13-second" game a couple of years ago dating back to the Joe Montana days and even earlier, these franchises have engaged in several classics.

Chiefs vs. Bills Playoff History
This will be the sixth time these teams have faced in the playoffs, which will be the most the Chiefs have ever played an opponent in the postseason.
Currently, the Bills and Colts are tied with five a piece, though the Chiefs' 3-2 record against Buffalo is much better than their 1-4 record against Indianapolis.
The first time was back on January 1st in 1967, an eventual 31-7 win for Kansas City, while the most recent matchup was the "13-second" game on January 23rd, 2022.

The Chiefs are 3-2 all-time in the playoffs against the Bills, including a perfect 2-0 record with Patrick Mahomes.
Kansas City won that first meeting back in 1967 before Buffalo won consecutive games in 1992 and 1994, with the Chiefs getting back on top in 2021 and 2022. With a storied history between these franchises and two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, we should be in for a thrilling rematch on Sunday.
