Kansas City outlasted Baltimore to win 17-10, while San Francisco overcame a 17-point deficit to beat Detroit. Four years after the Chiefs captured their first Super Bowl in the Patrick Mahomes' era, they'll now get an opportunity to cement the dynasty against the same 49ers, albeit led by Brock Purdy this time instead of Jimmy Garoppolo.

Chiefs vs. 49ers Super Bowl LVIII Opening Odds

The Chiefs are 1.5-point underdogs to the 49ers with +100 odds on the moneyline and a total set at 47.5, implying a close Kansas City loss somewhere in the neighborhood of 24-23.

It should come as no surprise that I like the value on the Chiefs here. Patrick Mahomes is now 10-1-1 against the spread (ATS) as an underdog in his career and Kansas City has now covered the spread in five consecutive games dating back to the regular season.

On the other side, the 49ers have failed to cover in three straight weeks, winning those three games by a combined total of just seven points, the same margin of victory from the Chiefs' win over the Ravens alone.

Mahomes is a perfect 3-0 against the 49ers in his career, including the 31-20 win in the Super Bowl and a 44-23 beatdown last season.
