The Kansas City Chiefs will try to keep their undefeated streak alive on Monday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints. The Chiefs (4-0) are coming off a 17-10 road win over the Los Angeles Chargers, while the Saints (2-2) are trying to bounce back from a tough road loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Kansas City will not have star second-year receiver Rashee Rice for Monday night’s matchup, as he was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury. Despite not having Rice, there’s still an expectation for the Chiefs to win their third game at Arrowhead this season.

With that in mind, fans will be looking to get into the stadium early to watch the defending Super Bowl champs go through their warmups. However, before the action gets underway, fans will be treated to a great rendition of the national anthem and an appearance from a Chiefs legend for the drum honoree.

The Chiefs announced Friday morning that Haley & Michaels will perform the national anthem for Monday’s primetime matchup at 7:10 p.m. CT. Haley & Michaels is an American country music singing duo led by Shannon Haley and Ryan Michaels.

NFL News: Former Chiefs Legend Jamaal Charles Named Drum Honoree for MNF

In addition to the national anthem, Kansas City fans will see former Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles as the drum honoree, per Nick Jacobs of KSHB 41 News.

Charles is a legend in Kansas City, as he spent nine seasons with the franchise, where he was named All-Pro twice and Pro Bowl four times. The former University of Texas star was taken in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft by Kansas City.

The 5-foot-11 running back ran for 1,000-plus yards five times and scored 43 touchdowns in his nine-year tenure. Charles’ best season with the Chiefs was in 2013 when he posted 1,980 yards from scrimmage and 19 total touchdowns.

The former Chiefs running back finished his NFL career with the Denver Broncos in 2017 and the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2018.
