Do you believe in miracles, Kansas City?

Justin Houston, who spent his first eight seasons with the Chiefs, is officially a free agent after being released by the Carolina Panthers.

Let's not kid ourselves, it'd be beautiful for Houston to return to the organization that drafted him to win his first career Super Bowl.

Chiefs Rumors: Justin Houston Now Available

Yes, the Chiefs have had many opportunities to sign Justin Houston in the offseason, but so what?

Those situations have, quite literally, almost nothing to do with this one. The cost was different, the teams were different, and the situations were different.

Why not reunite with one of the best Chiefs defensive players of a generation?

Houston had 78.5 sacks with Kansas City before moving onto Indianapolis, Baltimore and ultimately Carolina. He's still a dependable rotational lineman and could provide a boost to one of the league's best defenses.

Provided the cost won't be excessive, this is a no-brainer move. Bring Houston back and let's get the Chiefs' great his first Super Bowl ring.
