Chiefs Must Pursue This Perfect Isiah Pacheco Backup in Free Agency

The Chiefs have been busy in free agency but the roster still has some holes to fill. Isiah Pacheco still needs depth behind him at running back, and one ideal back-up is now available in free agency.
J.K. Dobbins, a former second-round pick for the Baltimore Ravens, is reportedly cleared for football activities following surgery to repair a torn Achilles. He'd be the perfect complement to Pacheco and solidify the Chiefs' backfield ahead of the 2024 season.
Low-cost running backs with Dobbins' pedigree aren't available often and Brett Veach needs to act quickly before it's too late.

Dobbins' career has been plagued by injuries, but he's been extremely effective when on the field. He averaged 6.0 yards per carry in his rookie campaign, finishing wth 805 yards and nine TDs while adding 120 receiving yards.
He was off to a similarly hot start in 2021 before going down with an injury. The Ravens made a decision to move on from the former Ohio State standout, giving Veach a chance to poach from an AFC rival while improving Kansas City's offense.

Given his injury history and Pacheco's status as a rising star in the NFL, Dobbins could ease into game action without much pressure to perform immediately. He's capable of handling a heavy workload should Pacheco miss any time with injury himself and could give the Chiefs one of the most dangerous two-headed monsters in the league.
Dobbins is set to take visits this week and it's not yet been reported that Kansas City is among them. Given the lack of depth at the position, I'm hoping the Chiefs are doing everything they can to land the talented back.
