The Chiefs spoke to media on Friday and gave injury updates on several key players. Unfortunately, it remains unlikely that star LG Joe Thuney will play in the upcoming Super Bowl.

Thuney still isn't practicing and we already know that Charles Omenihu will miss the big game and it's increasingly probable that Thuney will also be ruled out.

We'll know more more information this afternoon, but here's the latest:

Chiefs Injury News: LG Joe Thuney Misses Practice with Pectoral Injury

Thuney has long been one of the best offensive linemen in the league. While Nick Bosa chirps about the other members of the Chiefs' line, it'll likely be up to the other guys to help lead the Chiefs to a Super Bowl win.

Kansas City's line has performed admirably throughout the postseason and Nick Allegretti was impressive filling in for Thuney last week.

The 49ers' defense is stout and the Chiefs will need their best game to hoist another Lombardi Trophy. I'm confident in Kansas City's chances, though losing Thuney is a big blow.

We'll see if he's able to suit up. Fingers crossed, but there have been no positive indications at this point.
