Jerick McKinnon's injury was more significant than we thought, it turns out.
After scoring a TD in each of the Chiefs' last two games, McKinnon was placed on the Injured Reserve list Sunday and will miss the next four games.
Given his significant impact on last year's playoff run, this is a big blow to Kansas City's offense.
Chiefs Injury News: RB Jerick McKinnon Placed on IR
Chiefs have placed RB Jerick McKinnon on injured reserve and signed RB La’Mical Perine from the practice squad to replace him. McKinnon will miss at least next four games.

Club elevated WR Montrell Washington and DT Mike Pennel from practice squad for Monday’s game vs Raiders.
McKinnon has been used sparingly this season but still has five TDs, serving as the most reliable pass-protector out of the backfield while providing juice in the receiving game.
Since he'll miss the next four games, I'd expect the Chiefs to elevate a running back from the practice squad after this week. Isiah Pacheco will obviously handle the majority of the load with Clyde Edwards-Helaire providing him rest, though if one gets injured, Kansas City will want some insurance.
The Chiefs are massive favorites against the Raiders and shouldn't miss McKinnon too much. However, if his injury lingers into the playoffs, we may have reason to be concerned.
Fingers crossed he only misses the minimum four games.
