The Kansas City Chiefs officially activated the star linebacker from the Injured Reserve list today, signaling the return of the Chiefs' defensive leader.

The Chiefs haven't officially announced yet that Bolton will play, though it seems likely given the timing of the transaction.
We know Bolton returned to practice last week and now he'll likely play for the first time since October 22nd. It was obvious how much Kansas City missed Bolton on defense last week. With Drue Tranquill already ruled out, the linebacking room was looking thin prior to this news.
Bolton has 28 tackles on the season in just four games but ranked second in the NFL last year. He made two massive plays in the Super Bowl and has consistently been the Chiefs' best linebacker for a few years.
